York Village, York Harbor, York Beach and Cape Neddick. Year-round homes, summer places and the rentals in between.
York is really four places: York Village around the green, York Harbor along the river mouth, York Beach with Short Sands and Long Sands, and Cape Neddick out toward the Nubble. Each has its own housing. Year-round families in the Village and off Route 1, older harbour homes, and a lot of seasonal cottages and rental condos at the beach that turn over every week from Memorial Day to Columbus Day. Perham handles the weekly and bi-weekly homes, the one-time deep cleans when a summer place opens or closes, and the turnover cleans in between, all at the published by-the-bedroom price. Windows are a big part of the work here; salt spray off the ocean coats glass at the beach and along Route 1A faster than anywhere inland, and the $12-per-window rate covers inside and out.
House cleaning is priced by the bedroom and the figure is the same weekly, bi-weekly or one-time. There is no travel charge for York, ME.
